Project Description.

This Gordon Keeble which has chassis number 9 came to us after having sustained considerable flood damage when a river burst its banks and the car was filled with the dirty water up to the level of the dash top.

After the flood the owner had allowed the car to dry out and then had the exterior painted in the finished colour before it arrived with us at the workshop.

Some other stripping down work had been carried out by the owner, including removal & partial dismantling of the Chevrolet 327 engine.
Once we started on the GK it was completely stripped of all the interior, wiring, insulation and trim and the interior shell cleaned and painted ready for rebuild to begin.

On the exterior the front & rear suspension was completely stripped down and overhauled, the engine had a complete rebuild including balancing of the main internal components. A brand new wiring loom was fitted and the electrics returned to ‘as standard’ with a few subtle modern comforts at the owners request including a DAB radio and USB charging point.

The car was finished inside with black carpet and cream leather and lots of re-chromed trim and we think it goes great with the metallic blue paintwork.
